The middle school has applied a new CHOMP Time system through a program called Adaptive Scheduler. In this system, students can choose the Chomp they would like for the week. There are multiple options to choose from, with different options for each grade. Examples are study rooms and math help.

You might be wondering, well what if I have other work to do? Well, no worries! The teachers will always let you work on other assignments for other classes. You can also send a pass to see a teacher if you have to drop something off, or even ask a question!

The way to select a CHOMP is easy. All you have to do is log into PowerSchool, go to the bar on the side to find Adaptive Scheduler, and click on it. From there click “select session” and the group you want to join. You will choose the CHOMP you want in the morning meeting, and it is first come, first serve.

For example, if I want to do a study hall and all of them are full, I would have to choose a different activity and try again next week. If you are absent or forget to choose you will be automatically put in a session.

This is certainly new, but we will see how it goes as the months progress!
