With the spookiest holiday of the year just days away, the Gateway Middle School Halloween Dance was held on Friday, October 27! Students were encouraged to attend in costumes, and everyone put forth a great effort. After a long, fun night, a few middle schoolers received prizes for costume categories. Whether meant to be scary or silly, all these costumes were very impressive! 

First up, the Best Group Costume was won by a group of eighth-grade boys dressed as Sesame Street characters such as Elmo and Cookie Monster. Second, the Best Duo contest had a surprise; the judges decided to go with a trio! The winners were three girls dressed as the Three Blind Mice. Scariest Costume was awarded to eighth grader Kamiah Langston, who was a spooky nun! Next, the Most Original Costume was won by Sienna Giesecke as Buddy the Elf. Lastly, Best Overall Costume was given to Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas, Jillian Doheny! Keep up the great work, Gators, and Happy Halloween!
