Gateway’s Fall Cheer Squad is back and ready to keep the Gator spirit up! The Gateway Football Team had their first game on Thursday, August 31st. To many people’s surprise, they won 19-0! Our cheerleaders were able to support the players and hype up the stands throughout the game, with help from the marching band! This year, the cheerleaders selected seniors Madi Mills, Genna Evola, and Liv Walker as their captains for the season. Together, they are guiding the team to have a successful fall season.
Each year provides different challenges for the team, but they push through them together and support each other in the process. Coach Genzano has been a part of Gateway’s cheer program on and off for the past 20 years, and she is there every step of the way.
