After studying and rereading my notes, I thought I was finally ready for the AP biology exam. Well, I was as prepared as I could be. For weeks I was stressing over the exam, I had to finish my notes, then study everything I learned. I thought that the test was going to be really challenging, but honestly it wasn’t as bad as I thought.
AP Biology was probably the hardest class I took this year. As a freshman, this was my first AP class, and it was challenging. There was a lot of work, well really just a bunch of homework, and some of the topics were really confusing. But, I feel that without my Bio teacher, Mrs. Albano, I definitely wouldn’t have done as well as I did.
But, in May we had to take the AP exam, which had everything we learned this year. At first I thought I was really cooked, but I studied as best as I could. I read over all my past notes, and did a few practice problems. When I actually went to school the next day, I was pretty nervous, and everyone also seemed to be as well. But honestly, the worst part about the exam was how cold the room was, like it was freezing.

The test wasn’t as hard as I thought, and I finished feeling pretty good. Ace Smith, another freshman who took the AP Bio exam gave their thoughts:

I like what Ace said–the test doesn’t determine our future. If you take it and get a low score, its not like it’s stoping you from graduating; it’s just a test, nothing to stress about. Knowing this made my nerves a lot better since I knew it wouldn’t affect my grade. So, in the end, the exam wasn’t as bad as it seemed, and I have to thank Ms. Albano for being a really good teacher.
