On Saturday, December 7th, over one hundred students and chaperones took part in the second SkillsUSA New York trip. On that cold December day, they explored around Mid-Manhattan, seeing the famous sights of the city that never sleeps. The trip was a day full of food, fun, and fantastic memories!
On this trip, the attendees saw many sights, including too but not limited to Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Trump Tower, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and Times Square.
Sophomore Benjamin Kull, who was one of the students on the trip, said his favorite was Times Square as it was, “worth the wait.”
Justin Paredes, 11th grade, also went. He said that his favorite thing was St. Patricks Cathedral. He continued saying, “It was very nice, elaborate and overall majestic.”
As one of the people on the trip, my favorite thing was also Times Square. I do not like crowds, but all the bright lights and cool sights made it my favorite place in the Big Apple. I also loved the Rockefeller Center, specifically the big Christmas tree.
However, one thing everyone agreed on was that we all had tons of fun exploring New York with our friends making lifelong memories.
In conclusion, the SkillsUSA’s New York trip was a huge success that gave everyone lifelong memories of good times, good sights and friendship. If this sounds interesting to you, I highly recommend going on the trip next year.
