This Friday, the Gateway Gators beat the Mastery Warriors 33-0! This win brought Gateway up to a 4-4 record going into this week’s Homecoming game against Pitman. But, this week isn’t just about football. There are so many things to be looking forward to!
Spirit Week
Monday kicks off our spirit week with PJs and Pascals! Make sure to wear your comfiest pajamas and bring your companion stuffed animal with you to school. Monday is also when each class will decorate their designated hallways, each class with an explosion of their class colors. Decorating begins right after school. You can also begin voting for the Homecoming King and Queen!
Tuesday brings out your school spirit and your American spirit with USA Day! Wear all of your red, white, and blue!
Wednesday continues the week with Jersey vs Jersey Day. Show off your favorite team’s jersey or channel your inner Jersey Shore. We can’t wait to see all the Snooki’s and Pauly D’s in the halls.
Thursday reaches the end of our week with Anything But A Backpack Day. Get creative and find a fun way to bring your school supplies. Some ideas include a laundry basket, a pot, or a bowl.
Friday closes out the week with class color day! Represent your class throughout the day and at our Homecoming Pep Rally: Powderpuff!

Pep Rally
On Friday, all middle school and high school students will be able to attend our annual Powderpuff games! This year, the event is being held during school rather than later on in the fall so all students have the ability to attend or (if in high school) participate!
The Pep Rally will begin with the Freshmen vs Sophomore game immediately following 4th period. After, the fall cheer team will debut their half time routine as entertainment between games. Finally, the Junior vs Senior game will take place to close out the festivities.
Football Game
Friday night we hope we see you in the stands at the football game! This is not only our Homecoming game, but also Senior Night!
At 6:30, seniors in the marching band and on the football and cheer teams will be honored on the turf for their dedication to their individual extracurricular. At half time, the cheer team will take the turf to perform their half time routine once again! They will be followed up by our raging Gator marching band and color guard. After the performances, our Homecoming court will be honored on the track. Our King and Queen will finally be crowned at this time!
The Dance
Finally, all of the festivities come to an end at the reason for all of this: the Homecoming Dance! The dance begins at 7:00 PM and will include light food, drinks, and lots of fun! Get ready to dance the night away and become…
