Earlier this month, Gateway held its annual club fair to highlight Gateway’s amazing selection of extracurricular activities. Gateway prides itself on offering a wide selection of student-run clubs that appeal to students of all interests and commitment levels.
The club fair is held in the library every September and features student-decorated tables highlighting information about their club. Students have fun giving their club pitches and helping new eager students to sign up.
Alora Anne Robbins, a member of Gateway’s art club, shared, “Besides acquiring new members, the club fair is a fantastic way to share upcoming events within the club, especially those that are available to the Gateway community. We were able to advertise our annual paint night to raise money for our club!”
Other clubs in attendance included Leo club with their officers in attendance, Spanish club with their festive stand featuring maracas, Mock Trial with their popular gavel to bang, Book Club featuring notes of encouragement from members, our very own newspaper featuring an electronic copy of The Chomp, and more.
Gateway’s clubs and activities are approaching full swing by this point in the year, but they are still looking for new members!
We encourage you to visit Gateway’s website and check out the extracurriculars, reach out to club advisors for more information, and attend a meeting! There really is something for everyone! Plus, by getting involved, you can work towards earning Renaissance rewards.
