You might be aware of the “new” Mean Girls movie now in theaters. While it’s new, it’s just a movie adaptation of the Broadway musical, Mean Girls. It is very similar to the movie adaptation, while still pointing out references to the musical adaptation. Regina George is played by the amazingly talented Reneé Rapp, and her vocals throughout the movie were phenomenal.
She played Regina on Broadway where so many fans were ecstatic to see her reprise her role for the movie. Her rendition of World Burn and Someone Gets Hurt left the audience speechless after watching.
While many people can say that this movie isn’t good or not as good as the 2004 movie, as someone who loves both adaptations, I can say that it was executed well. If you are debating on seeing it, I recommend that you do. It is still in theaters now, so go see it!
