It is back and better than ever! Gateway’s library had a MASSIVE makeover this summer! With new ceilings, carpets, and a total rearrangement of shelves and furniture, it is almost unrecognizable! Mrs. Bially, Gateway’s awesome librarian, has been working hard to unpack everything and turn the library into a safe and fun space for all.
The iconic Makerspace is still booming, new murals were painted on the walls by Gateway art students, and Mrs. Bially has been decorating the shelves and remaining walls with student book projects, book art, and other colorful decorations.
Mrs. Bially is almost done organizing the shelves, but is still ordering new books for this year! If there is a book that you wish to read or see in the library, let her know! Otherwise, make a trip down to the library some time soon to see the vast selection of books currently available. From classics to comic books, Mrs. Bially’s library has it all.
If you participated in the summer reading challenge, be sure to turn in your completed project(s) to Mrs. Bially in order to receive an invitation to the annual summer reading celebration! The date is yet-to-be-decided, but there is no doubt that it will be a fun time, rain or shine!
Are you stuck in a book lurch? We have all been there. Check out the pictures below of incredible student summer reading projects to hopefully inspire your next read!
